We chose manatees because they're nature's gentle giants. Their wide, rounded bodies naturally spread weight across your lap or chest, creating a comforting hug that's difficult to achieve with taller or narrower stuffed animals. Their floppy shape also makes them wonderful to cuddle, whether you're sitting on the couch or lying in bed.

Meet Mama Manatee

At approximately 32" long and 13" wide, Mama Manatee is one of the largest weighted plush we make.

Her broad, low profile naturally drapes across your lap, chest, or body, providing soothing, evenly distributed pressure over a large area. Many adults find 14–18 lbs to be the perfect weight, but we can hand weight her up to an impressive 22 lbs while still keeping a thick layer of soft fluff around the weighted core.

Unlike many weighted plush that only have weight in the body, Mama Manatee is fully weighted from nose to tail—including the flippers—for a wonderfully balanced feel.

One of my favorite features is something most people don't notice at first.

The wrinkled outer layer on Mama Manatee's back is separate from the inner body, allowing the wrinkles to gently glide beneath your fingers as you pet her. It's surprisingly soothing and has become one of my favorite sensory features. 

Inside, an internal liner is sewn from the nose to the tail and sectioned throughout the body to help keep the weight evenly distributed. The flippers are weighted too, while a thick layer of soft poly fill surrounds the weighted core, keeping her plush, cuddly, and floppy.

Meet Baby Manatee

Baby Manatee offers the same comforting feel in a more portable size.

Measuring approximately 18" long, she's perfect for laps, hugs, travel, or relaxing at the end of the day. While smaller, she still has the same soft, floppy feel that makes the larger version so popular.

We've recently increased the maximum weight from 5 lbs to 6 lbs, giving you even more flexibility while keeping the same cuddly feel.

Like Mama, Baby Manatee has an internal sectioned weighted casing running from the nose through the body and into the tail to help keep the weight evenly distributed.

One of my favorite things about these two is seeing Baby Manatee riding on Mama's back. They just seem like they belong together.
