The body can be weighted up to 11 lbs, while still leaving plenty of room for a thick, cushiony layer of polyester fiber fill surrounding the internal weight casings.

How It's Made

Weight is distributed between two internal bead casings:

• One sewn securely inside the main body
• One sewn into the head to give the otter a realistic, naturally weighted feel when cuddling

Each casing is surrounded by a generous layer of soft polyester fiber fill, creating a comforting balance of weight and plush softness.

Sea Star

The sea star is lightly stitched in place. If you prefer, you can easily snip a few stitches where it attaches to the body and one paw, leaving it connected to the other paw. This opens both arms for a more natural hug while the otter still holds its favorite sea star. It also allows the otter's weighted body to rest directly against your chest when carried over your shoulder—one of the most comforting areas for deep-pressure input.
