My husband got me Canela (as we have named her) as a Christmas gift back in 2023. She's wonderful, I usually have her sit on my lap while I am working from home since my cat isn't a fan of laps. I love spiders, and I really wanted something weighted to put on my chest for nights when I lay awake anxious, so this guy was perfect. 4lb was a perfect weight, it has been comforting to hold on my chest. The weight is pretty well distributed between the head and abdomen which makes it easy to adjust as I want. Plus it's a really well-made plush! Soft and cute.
I'm a spider lover with some sensory needs, but the concept of weighted blankets always felt too restrictive for me. He is the perfect solution for me - the maximum weight provides the perfect amount of pressure on my chest, and I really like how soft he is. And he can hug me back with his legs! On top of that, he looks just like my real tarantulas (and it's usually really hard to find anatomically correct spider toys).
