I adore this stingray. I've named her Izu. Though it took a couple of days to get used to the heavier weight, she immediately became a permanent fixture of my cuddle troupe and I haven't looked back since. This critter is the perfect shape for hugging, but also makes a really nice weighted lap pad that I often rest my laptop and drawing tablet on top of. Thanks to her, I feel like I've also been sleeping a fair bit better as well. I've always had trouble sleeping through the whole eight hours, but I've had much more consistent nights since keeping her with me. She also retains heat! I'll leave her on my bed to go to my morning shift, and there's still warmth underneath her when I come back. The only thing I wish for, and it's definitely no deal breaker, is that she could have been a little bit heavier. The beads move around inside and sometimes become slightly offset. Otherwise, I have no qualms recommending this stingray to anyone.

Words cannot describe how fantastic this weighted string ray is. It is so soft and squishy, and the perfect size. It covers my entire torso and wraps around like a hug. I asked for it to be stuffed a bit extra, and while I was a little apprehensive when it first arrived because it was slightly too stiff, it has since settled into the most huggable, squishy, perfect amount. I love the sound of the beads in the flaps on the sides and the tail is so nice to fidget with. The day I got it I laid it on me right away and proceeded to have the best nap of my entire life. It is so calming and comforting. I love it so much!

Today is Christmas Eve Dec 24, 2021. You can't imagine my surprise when I got home from grocery shopping to find a large priority mail box with my name on it. I immediately looked at the return address and saw Sensory Soothers in Lutz FL! I got the cutest plush Reindeer 2yrs ago for my Dec birthday from my daughter from this company. Then last year she sent me an Adorable Sea Turtle which I absolutely love. I knew right away I was getting a weighted gift but never imagined what it could possibly be. I felt so guilty that I could not wait just one more day to open it. I turned 75 years old two weeks ago and today I felt like a little kid again with the excitement of Christmas and the mystery of not knowing what it was. To my surprise it was this Incredibly Large, Soft, Plushy, Huggable, Lovable, Awesome Stingray! I was so so surprised I just couldn't wait to cuddle him. He has already taken away any holiday stress I had and left me feeling so loved and ready for more Christmas movies! Thanks to my daughter & family!

How did i not write a review??? We've had "Crushy" for almost a year now and he's probably the best thing i've ever found for my kid! HUGE, soft, cuddly and so adorable. B is a connoisseur of stingrays, and the construction and details all meet B's high standards! I also very much appreciated Teresa's help and advice with respect to weight. i only now have to resist seeing if you will make the EXTRA LARGE one for us...

I spent a long time looking for the perfect weighted stuffed animal, and this one more than exceeded expectations. I've used a weighted blanket for a few years, but needed something more portable and not as hot/heavy during the summer. Flapjack the stingray is everything I needed and more. He's perfectly soft, so doesn't trigger any bad sensory experiences for me (and even causes some good ones--I didn't realize how much I liked petting his soft fur until I found myself doing it absentmindedly within hours of getting him), and at 9 pounds he's the perfect weight for me. I couldn't be happier and look forward to years of perfect cuddles with him.
